Our criteria
Real waterfront. Not water view, not a five-minute walk to the beach. The ocean, bay, or sound is close enough to hear from the bedroom.
Real listings. Every house is a live, bookable listing on a major platform like Vrbo, Airbnb, or Booking.com, with its own review history.
A short list. A handful of waterfront rentals per destination, not a thousand-listing feed.
