Our criteria
Real waterfront. Not water view, not a five-minute walk to the beach. The ocean, bay, or sound is close enough to hear from the bedroom. We disclose distance to water for every property.
Verified ownership. Every house is either on a major platform with substantial review history, or managed by a firm we have vetted.
Honest trade-offs. Nothing on this site is perfect, and each listing notes what it is good at and what it is not.
